Responseability was established with the aim of designing stylish and high-quality sunglasses for men and women with sustainability deeply rooted in the company DNA. Not only do every pair of sunglasses remove 1 kg of plastic from the ocean, the frames of the sunglasses are made from 100% Ocean Waste Plastic. A compelling story and consumers absolutely love it.

Part of the change

Recycling and reusing existing resources is an important step towards a sustainable future. That is the belief at Responseability: their sunglasses are made from a type of plastic called PET, which is typically found in single-use water bottles. Being able to remove plastic from the ocean and recycle it into a new product creates a strong synergy and really gets people excited as they feel like they are making a difference to the environment.

The QR code provided by ReSea Project creates a lot of transparency.

Completing the customer journey

To tell the story of its sustainable efforts, Responseability knows how much customers value transparency. Customers should feel part of something bigger when they buy a pair of sunglasses. To involve the customers in the journey and to highlight the claim of removing 1 kg of plastic for each pair of sunglasses sold, customers can scan a QR code and see exactly where the plastic has been collected. According to Michelle from Responseability, this feature and the collaboration with ReSea Project have contributed towards a special love for the brand.
